Here are some events happening in Brown County in the next week or so:

• open art class for youth ages 11-15 Brownwood Art Association Thursday August 28 from 4:30-5:45pm
• Meet the Mustangs, Brookesmith  Thursday August 28 6:30pm
• Open Mic at Wild Duck Marina Lake Brownwood Friday evening August 29
• The Southern Junkie Boutique grand opening in Downtown Brownwood Saturday Aug. 30 11-3pm (win a $100 gift card and buy me something pretty!)
• Purple Day, Early High School Saturday August 30 meal-6pm, announcements-8pm, games and silent auction 9-11pm
• Live music from Seconds2Sundown at Wild Duck Marina Lake Brownwood Saturday evening August 30
• Meet the Lions, Gordon Wood Stadium, Brownwood Monday Sept 1 meal 5:45pm announcements 7pm
• open art class for youth ages 7-11 Brownwood Art Association Tuesday Sept. 2 from 4:30-5:45pm
